The Centre for Open and Distance Learning (CODL) at the University of Jaffna is proudly celebrating its 33rd anniversary in 2024, marking over three decades of successful operation in expanding access to higher education. Established in 1991 as the External Registration and Examination Unit, CODL was initially created to offer external degree programs to individuals who were unable to attend traditional university system.
Degree Programmes
Bachelor of Arts
The BA degree programme is a three-year degree programme (SLQF- Level 5), operating on a semester.
Bachelor of Commerce
The duration of the programme is four academic years, with two semesters per academic year.
Bachelor of Business Management
The duration of the programme is three academic years, with two semesters per academic year.
