OBJECTIVES

Aim of the Higher Diploma in Physical EducationProgramme is to prepare the students for a range of career opportunities through offering theoretical, practical and science-based course units to enable them to excel in Physical Education. Moreover, the programme shall endeavors professional orientation in the field of recreation, health & wellness, and sports education.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

Eligible for admission to a two years Higher Diploma in Physical Education Programme

  • Candidate should have qualified for university admission with at least ‘S’ grades for any three subjects available at the G.C.E. (A/L)Examination.
    OR
  • Candidate who has SLQF level 3 or NVQ level 5 Diploma certificate in the relevant field

The age limit of the candidate shall be between 18 and 28 years. And age limits are exempted for those who are working as government sports officers, physical education teachers and government sports coachers.
